If you’re looking for a dose of small-town charm in the new year, take a road trip to Superior. The former mining town, with its budding food-and-beverage scene, is about an hour’s drive from Phoenix.

Silver King Smokehouse & Saloon This barbecue joint opened in January 2021 and embodies the frontier spirit of Arizona. The distinctive Wild West design of the bar and dining area provides patrons with a peek into the past of the state’s early days. A nice patio lets diners enjoy Arizona’s beautiful winter weather.
