Autumn has arrived in Superior, bringing with it cooler days and a sense of adventure in the desert. Whether you’re looking to take in the beauty of the Boyce Thompson Arboretum at sunset, hike the picturesque Legends of Superior Trails, or savor seasonal treats at new cafés, this fall offers something special for every visitor. Get ready to embrace the season with outdoor exploration and vibrant community events!

Sunset Magic at Boyce Thompson Arboretum

Autumn brings cooler temperatures and stunning light, making it the ideal time to explore Boyce Thompson Arboretum. On September 21st and 26th, you can take advantage of extended hours to enjoy the desert sunset in all its glory. Stay late and watch as the landscape is bathed in warm evening light.

For families, October is packed with fun! Every Saturday, the Arboretum hosts Nature Play, a hands-on event where children can explore the wonders of nature. It’s a perfect way to enjoy the great outdoors while learning and playing. Visit Boyce Thompson Arboretum for details.

Discover the Legends of Superior Trails

With cooler weather, it’s prime hiking season along the Legends of Superior Trails (LOST). Although the Queen Creek Canyon segment is currently closed, there are plenty of other segments to explore, including the scenic Arnett Canyon (6.5 miles), historic Pinal City Panther Trail (1.2 miles), and shorter options like the Miners & Ranchers Trail (1 mile) and Superior Town Center Trail (.7 miles).

These trails offer a chance to enjoy the rugged beauty of the desert while getting in touch with Superior’s deep history and scenic landscapes.

New and Exciting Businesses in Town

Superior continues to grow, with exciting new businesses adding fresh experiences to the town’s charm. The Gypsy Sisters, who had their grand opening on September 14th, are serving up organic coffees and teas made from premium ingredients. Their shop is a bohemian-inspired space filled with treasures from their global travels. Relax, sip on a delicious drink, and let your mind wander to your next adventure! Visit their Facebook page for more info.

Over at Bellas Café, you’ll find a cozy atmosphere and a seasonal menu that’s perfect for fall. Stop in to enjoy fresh, flavorful meals and support a local gem. Stay updated on their latest offerings through Bellas Café on Facebook.
