Celebrate Mexican Culture and Heritage in Superior

As the month of May approaches, people around the world are gearing up to celebrate Cinco de Mayo - a holiday that commemorates the Mexican army's victory over French forces at the Battle of Puebla on May 5th, 1862. But for many Americans, Cinco de Mayo has become a celebration of Mexican culture and heritage that lasts throughout the entire month of May. And in the town of Superior, Arizona, there are plenty of ways to join in the festivities.

Here are just a few ideas for celebrating Mexican heritage in Superior this May:

You will be dazzled by the color and movement of their folklorico costumes and fancy footwork. Dance has always played an important role in Mexican culture, and there are many traditional dances that have been passed down through generations.
