If you never have been to Boyce Thompson Arboretum use this opportunity to discover one of the grand arboretums of the southwest. It is the oldest and largest Botanical Garden in Arizona. Their mission is to inspire appreciation and stewardship of desert plants, wildlife, and ecosystems through education, research, and conservation. Mark your calendar for Luminaria Hike on December 4th at 5pm at the Legends of Superior Trails

It's such a special sight to see the Sonoran Desert decorated for the holiday and you will be able to do just that this season on the Luminaria Hike. Before the hike starts be sure to arrive early to view the amazing desert sunset before the path illuminates with holiday cheer. Join the hike to the original Queen Creek Bridge on the Queen Creek Canyon segment which will be illuminated by luminaries. Meet us on the bridge for caroling, cookies and hot chocolate. A short ceremony will begin at 6pm.

A hike on the Legends of Superior Trails is also a wonderful activity to do with the whole family any time this season. The weather is perfect to get out, unplug, breath deep and enjoy nature when our schedules can get a little hectic with holiday plans.
